School Supply Information

We offer Tillman families the opportunity to pay a one-time fee of $35 per child that will cover the cost of all school supplies for the year, with the exception of a backpack, earphones or earbuds, a lunchbox, and a water bottle).  Our office uses this $35 fee to order the supplies we need for classrooms in bulk. Families can pay for school supplies via your MySchoolBucks account or via cash/check in the office.  If you would like to purchase your own supplies, please see the supply lists below for the 2025-26 school year.

We use this system for several reasons: 

  1. We enjoy being a more sustainable school, and this method helps minimize waste. Teachers can order supplies as needed throughout the year, instead of trying to predict what they may need in advance and ending up with extras at the end of the year (or not having enough and then having to scramble and ask for donations during the year).

  2. This process tends to save Tillman families time and money. Often, families end up paying a lot more than $35 in order to get all the supplies that are on the list. 

  3. With most teachers using “community supplies,” buying in bulk helps eliminate children feeling upset when what they bought is put into the class supply pool and is not theirs alone to use. In addition, teachers tend to appreciate having matching and uniform supplies.  

  4. We can order from our district suppliers and get better quality and prices than those offered in supply kits.

Please note that all families will also need to purchase and label their own USB-C over-ear headphones (preferred in K-2) or in-ear earbuds this year.  All students will be using new iPads next fall, and new models use the USB-C port instead of a headphone jack.  Headphones or earbuds will belong the student and not be part of community supplies.  

All 5th grade students will also need to purchase a trapper keeper, in addition to the $35 fee.
